Times are different at this moment. So I was wondering… what would you do when the whole COVID-19 situation didn’t exist? In my case, I would definitely be sitting on one of the Caribbean Islands. You want it more specific? That would actually be Aruba, watching the beautiful sunset from a table at the Flying Fishbone!
What would you do when…: dining at Flying Fishbone
Really it would definitely be a dinner this evening at Flying Fishbone! I already made the reservations. Flying Fishbone is one of the many tasty and luxury restaurants at the one happy island. It offers you such a special way of dining.
Some of the tables are placed on a platform that’s a bit below sea level. The saying ‘let the sea kiss your feet and the sand be your seat’ is definitely partly true here. You will be seated at a regular table with your bare feet in the sea. They even got special hooks to hang your slippers on!
Signature cocktail Flying Fishbone
How do you start the evening on such a beautiful island with lovely temperatures? With a tasty cocktail of course! Because a good cocktail always let your dinner tastes better (my humble opinion). I tried the Flying Fishbone signature cocktail in the past. And I will definitely order it again when I was there this evening. Lucky me I made the pictures and I have my memories. And a picture of the cocktail card. I will give it a try soon. And I will put the recipe at the Food & Drinks section of this blog.
The whole experience
It is recommended to make a reservation at Flying Fishbone. The restaurant is so popular, because everything matches together. The experience, the cocktail, the wine card (awarded by Wine Spectator with the “Award of Excellence 2016/17/18″) and food and the service.
Make that reservation next time you go to the island (and actually contact them a few weeks upfront) and enjoy it. Before you mail or call the restaurant, check when sunset will be. So you know what the best time is!
